Free Veggie Libraries

Come take what you need and share some to feed!

The Montgomery County Wellness Coalition is launching free veggie libraries in Crawfordsville this summer! Our goal is to increase access to fresh produce throughout town.

Locations include the Free Clinic, Recovery Rec Center, Fairgrounds, Francis Wooden Park, Fishero Ball Park, and the Youth Service Bureau.

Do you have fresh produce you’d like to share? We are looking for people to donate fresh fruits and vegetables to stock the veggie libraries. This is a great opportunity for gardeners to share the fruits (or veggies) of your labor to further bless and serve the community. And could be a great and convenient way to get rid of that extra zucchini or loads of tomatoes! You’re welcome to pick a location (or multiple) of your choice and drop produce off at your convenience.

Looking for a variety of fresh, free, local, fruits and vegetables for you, your family, or friends? Come and choose what you’d like! Anyone is welcome to pick out produce from the veggie libraries. They are for the entire community. And spread the word!

Come take what you need and share some to feed! We just ask that if you see any expired produce, please throw it out or let us know. You can contact us at the Montgomery County Extension Office: (765) 364-6363 or e-mail mocowellnesscoalition@gmail.com
